Add Hello Clever to OpenCart

This guide walks you through the process of adding and configuring the Hello Clever payment gateway for your OpenCart store. Follow these steps to provide your customers with a seamless checkout experience.

Getting Started​

Hello Clever is currently available for OpenCart merchants with store addresses in Australia.

OpenCart Version​

Ensure that your OpenCart version is 2.3.0 or greater to integrate with Hello Clever. You can check the OpenCart version from the Admin Dashboard in the bottom centre.

Store Currency​

Currently, Hello Clever only supports AUD (Australian Dollars).

Installation Guide​

Step 1: Download the Plugin​

  1. Download the Hello Clever OpenCart plugin from HERE.

  2. Log in to the OpenCart Admin Portal.

Step 2: Upload the Plugin​

  1. Navigate to Extensions > Installer from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click on the Upload button.

  3. Select the downloaded plugin file (e.g., clever-opc-v3.ocmod.zip) and upload it.

  4. Once uploaded successfully, the plugin will appear under Install History.

Step 3: Enable the Plugin​

  1. Navigate to Extensions > Extensions.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select Payments.

  3. Locate the Hello Clever Gateway plugin and click Install.

  4. Once installed, click the Edit button to configure the plugin.

Step 4: Configure the Plugin​

  1. Enter your API Mode (Sandbox for testing or Production for live use).

  2. Fill in the following details:

    • API Key
    • Secret Key

    These keys can be obtained from your Hello Clever merchant dashboard.

  3. Click Save to finalise the configuration.

Step 5: Apply Modifications​

  1. Navigate to Extensions > Modifications.

  2. Click the Refresh button to reload the cache.

Verification​

Once the setup is complete, the Hello Clever payment gateway will appear as an option on your checkout page. Customers can now pay seamlessly using Hello Clever.
